North Sydney Family Day Care (FDC) offers childcare for children in a home environment. FDC providers are registered educators who can support early learning.
FDC provides care for up to seven children under 12 years of age (four children under 5) with carefully selected educators in their homes.
Qualified staff monitor and support educators with home visits, training and resources. Regular play sessions are held for educators and their children in care.
The service is run by Council and adheres to the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the Education and Care Services National Law. North Sydney Family Day Care was assessed in 2023 against the National Quality Standards and received an overall rating of Meeting National Quality Standards.

Family Day Care fees
All educators are self-employed and fees vary.
On average, educators charge $120 per day per child. Currently FDC levies $1.60 per hour per contract of care for each family from 10 July.
There’s no waitlist fee but $50 is charged for administration on enrolment.
Eligible families can receive Child Care Subsidies.
