North Sydney has a network of community centres that provide services, activities and programs to our residents. The centres are a vital part of community life. They are independent not-for-profit organisations that receive funding and other assistance from Council.

Pensioner concessions
Eligible pensioners are provided concessions on their ordinary rates and domestic waste management services charge. The cost of providing these concessions is shared between the State Government and local councils. Complete the Pensioner Rates Concession form and return to Council.
Home Library Service

The Waverton Hub
The Waverton Hub is an initiative aimed at making the community more age-friendly. It’s a member-driven organisation set up by local residents of Waverton, Wollstonecraft and nearby suburbs.

Men's Shed
Many retired men have had to downsize their living arrangements, often resulting in the loss of personal space, usually the garden shed or workshop. So, the idea of a Community Shed was born. Here, men can come, work with a fantastic variety of tools and spend time with other men with similar interests.
