About the presenter

Dr Anastasia Suraev is a Senior Research Fellow within the Healthy Brain Ageing Program at the Brain and Mind Centre at the University of Sydney. She was awarded her Psychology PhD in 2023 at the University of Sydney, where her thesis explored the therapeutic effects of cannabinoids on sleep and next-day function in insomnia disorder.

Anastasia's current research focuses on the impact of modifiable risk factors associated with cognitive decline, such as sleep disturbance, on brain health, and investigates whether interventions targeting these risk factors can improve cognition.
