It is a true tour de force of the instrument, and will be performed by one of the true rising stars of the violin, Kristian Winther.

The concert closes with Dvořák's Symphony No 8. Written in 1889, this work showcases Dvořák's mastery of orchestration and his deep understanding of nature and the human soul. The symphony is filled with rich melodies, lush harmonies, and powerful rhythms that have cemented it as a firm concert favourite.
