North Sydney Council’s Ridge Street Studio artists, Olivia Arnold and Millie Mitchell, will facilitate a full-day art-making workshop at the Stanton Library.

This is a hands-on workshop engaging with printmaking and drawing techniques and the creation of artist books.

  • This workshop is for adults and young people aged over 14 years.
  • No prior experience is required.

Participants will be invited to respond to the surrounding environment through a brief walk around the local area, to collect images and natural materials. Based on demonstrations by Olivia and Millie, participants will employ drawing, paper plate etching, image transfer and embossing techniques to develop their pages.

After a lunch break participants will be introduced to the Japanese book binding method to create their unique artist books to take home.

Workshop is limited to 10 people and a waitlist is in place.
