Our Pride Month activities celebrate Community, Connections and Kindness. North Sydney Council has partnered with artist and educator Cameron Stead to share two creative ways to celebrate Pride

Drop in to Stanton Library on Saturdays 15 and 22 June for some Pride themed creative fun.

Our Pride Postcards of Gratitude project invites visitors of all ages to take a moment to create a postcard expressing gratitude to anyone or anything that has made a difference in their lives – whether it's a friend or family, a favourite book character, an object or maybe something about themselves! We have postcard templates and art and craft materials for those who want to get creative. Drop your postcard into one of our Postcard of Gratitude Mailboxes located in Stanton Library. Postcards left in the mailbox will be collected, catalogued, and included in our special Pride 2024 Book, both in print and online.

Make a 'Say Something Poster' Inspired by the powerful tradition of posters and placards in protests and the LGBTQAI+ rights movement, let your pride shine through by crafting your own Say Something Poster. Use the stamps, letter stencils and materials provided to make a statement with bold text and expressive artwork on an A3 poster. Participants' Say Something Posters may be showcased throughout Stanton Library, serving as a testament to the diverse voices within our community. Poster will be included our special Pride 2024 Book, available both in the library and online.

Drop in sessions will be hosted on both Saturdays, however visitors are welcome to write a postcard or make a poster anytime during regular Library opening hours. Materials are located on the Lower Ground Floor.
