The gallery will be transformed into a live working studio, inviting local students to observe and interact with the artist as he draws and works live throughout the day.
Tools, materials, and processes will be on display direct from the artist's studio. School groups and visiting students and teachers are welcome to ask questions and view live demonstrations by the artist as they arrive. Brief drop-in sessions to longer class presentations are available. Bookings are essential so as to help manage the space and numbers through the day.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Waves Like Mountains is an exhibition presenting a suite of new drawings by local artist Kristone Capistrano. The show tracks the growing gesturality and abstraction of his ink and charcoal works that coincides with his move to Kirribilli mid 2022. Refined and closely rendered fiugrations begin to melt into greater gesturality and loosely moving forms that resemble mountains and waves; vibrations, wavelengths and dancing lines oscillating in shades of black and grey.
