Join award-winning actor Tasma Walton as she discusses her newest book that is closely based on the story of her ancestor.

Book cover for 'I am Nannertgarrook'

Kidnapped by sealers and enslaved far from her homeland, Nannertgarrook has a spirit that refuses to bow.

Based on the true story of Tasma Walton's ancestor, this is not just what life was like for a First Nations woman on the fringes of colonial society, but also the beautiful tale of how Nannertgarrook's totem and connection to her birthright country keep her spirit strong.
