What are our Informing Strategies and Studies?
Our Informing Strategies and studies assist to shape our community’s future by providing essential evidence and insights that guide the development of the Community Strategic Plan (CSP). These documents cover key areas such as housing, transport, environment, economic development, and community wellbeing, ensuring that planning decisions are based on robust data and community needs. By aligning with the CSP, informing strategies and studies help shape priorities, allocate resources effectively, and track progress toward long-term goals. Together, they create a strong foundation for informed decision-making and continuous improvement in service delivery.
Informing Strategies
- About our Informing Strategies
Council developed 8 informing strategies based of five independent informing studies (see below). Community feedback was sought for each strategy between November 2024 and January 2025 which was updated and adopted by Council on 10 February 2025. The outcomes, objectives and strategic directions from these were used to create the Community Strategic Plan 2025-2035 and will form the basis for Council’s Delivery Programs and Operational Plans.
- Environment
This strategy details how Council will take action in collaboration with community members, businesses, neighbouring councils and other government agencies to significant environmental challenges. Together, we will deliver a healthy environment with thriving ecosystems and strong climate resilience.
