New electric vehicle charging stations coming to Council car parks

Grant-funded electric vehicle chargers will be installed in Council car parks in early 2025.

Three charge point operators (NRMA, ChargePost and EVIE) have received grant funding to install the electric vehicle chargers in North Sydney car parks. The chargers will begin to be installed in early 2025, with installation set to be complete by April.

Funding was received from the NSW Government's electric vehicle kerbside charging grants (round 1) and fast charging grants programs.

The new chargers will support the transition to electric vehicles, which is an important way of cutting community greenhouse gas emissions and working toward achieving North Sydney's ambitious carbon footprint and sustainable transport targets, as set out in our Environmental Sustainability Strategy 2030.

The chargers will be located in the following car parks:
