Learn more about the effect of the NSW Government's recent changes to Council’s planning controls.
On 27 November 2024, the NSW Government announced the finalisation of its Crows Nest Transport Oriented Development program, rezoning parts of Crows Nest and St Leonards.
The finalisation has the effect of changing Council's planning controls in the area around the new Sydney Metro Crows Nest Station. To help you understand what these changes may mean for the future of our area, we recorded an information session with Neal McCarry, Service Unit Manager Strategic Planning, explaining some of the main elements.
Council's Strategic Planning team is working on a more detailed analysis of the potential impacts and issues arising from these amendments. This analysis will be presented to a meeting of Council next year. We will make more information and a critique available after this analysis is complete.
