Current out of hours works

Council only approves work outside standard construction hours in extreme circumstances. Examples include overnight shop fit-outs or where demolition or erection of structures may be a risk to public safety during daylight hours. 

Please note, we are not the only authority who can approve out of hours works. There may be additional approved works we are not aware of (for emergencies, water works etc).

Mount Street, North Sydney

Works: Crane lift to upgrade telecommunications equipment

Work dates: Works will take place on Tuesday 18 March, 9pm-5am, weather permitting

Union Street, McMahons Point

Works: Crane installation, will affect 5 parking spaces and 2 lanes of roadway on Council’s roadway with footpath closed

Miller Street, North Sydney

Works: Gantry removal

Work dates: Works will commence on Tuesday 18 March to Wednesday 19 March, 9pm to 5am Monday to Friday, weather permitting.

Works by other authorities

Third parties, such as utility companies and state departments, do not have to notify Council of emergency works.
