View current out of hours works approved by Council
The following works are scheduled to take place outside of approved construction hours.
Council only approves work outside approved construction hours in specific circumstances. Examples include overnight shop fit-outs or where demolition, excavation or erection of structures may be a risk to public safety during daylight hours.
Approved hours of work
The approved hours of work for a specific development site are contained in the Development Consent.
You can view the Development Consent for each site via our application tracker.
Please note, we are not the only authority who can approve out of hours works. There may be additional approved works we are not aware of (for emergencies, water works etc).

Berry Street and Walker Street intersection, North Sydney
Location:
Berry Street and Walker Street intersection, North Sydney (footpath and adjacent lanes).
Works:
Investigation of pits and conduits, including clearing blocked conduits. Works will involve the use of a vacuum truck, with activity on the roadway while the footpath remains open but in use.
Work dates:
Works will take place on Friday 19 June 2026, between 8pm and 5am, weather permitting. These works are scheduled outside standard construction hours.

Walker Street, Spring Street and Berry Street, North Sydney
Location:
Walker Street, Spring Street and Berry Street, North Sydney CBD (including closure of Spring Street between Walker Street and Little Spring Street).
Works:
Footpath and road restoration wall works as part of the North Sydney CBD restoration project. This will include a temporary road closure on Spring Street and removal of parking within the work zone.
Work dates:
Works will commence on Wednesday 17 June 2026, occurring Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm, and Saturday between 8am and 2pm, for approximately 2 weeks, weather permitting.
Spring Street will be closed between Walker Street and Little Spring Street on Saturday 27 June and Sunday 28 June 2026.

Burton Street, Kirribilli and 1 Denison Street, North Sydney
Location:
Burton Street, Kirribilli and 1 Denison Street, North Sydney
Works:
Filming activity approved under the NSW Local Government Film Protocol for Scrublands S3 Productions Pty Ltd.
Council has assessed and approved the proposal, including traffic management, vehicle movements, crew operations, parking arrangements and impacts on road and pedestrian access.
Barricading and temporary parking restrictions will be in place:
- 35 parking spaces on Burton Street
- 13 parking spaces on Denison Street
During filming, residents and visitors may experience increased activity, temporary loss of parking, periods of noise, short traffic interruptions and minor access changes. Measures will be implemented to minimise disruption, and strict conditions apply to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Works will take place from Thursday 18 June to Saturday 20 June 2026.

Location:
Shirley Road, Crows Nest.
Works:
Kerb and gutter repair – removal of existing damaged kerb and gutter and replacement with a permeable kerb and gutter system.
Work dates:
Work will take place from Monday 22 June 2026 to Wednesday 24 June 2026, between 6:30am and 5:30pm daily.
