A much-loved free outdoor live music concert series is set to light up the heart of St Leonards Park on three Sunday afternoons this autumn (16 March, 13 April, 11 May), offering an exciting mix of classical, swing, jazz, indie, and more.
A diverse lineup of talented artists will take the stage at Sunset Series, alongside children’s workshops, food trucks, and sporting demonstrations, creating the perfect afternoon outing for families, music lovers, and local residents.
Event schedule
- Sunday 16 March – Opening event featuring the 50-piece North Sydney Symphony Orchestra, known for performing everything from classical masterpieces to lively swing arrangements. Support act Billie McCarthy, a soulful jazz and folk vocalist, will set the stage with her captivating sound.
- Sunday 13 April – Indie-themed afternoon headlined by GODTET, a renowned instrumental group blending jazz, psychedelia, and improvisation. Support act BlauHaus will deliver an electrifying solo set of live-looped acid jazz and funk.
- Sunday 11 May – Mother’s Day edition featuring headliner Thando, a powerhouse vocalist blending modern soul, R&B, and funk. Support act Natalie Slade will enchant audiences with her internationally acclaimed soulful sound.
Sunset Series stands out for its unique combination of high-quality live music, interactive children’s activities, and a relaxed outdoor setting. The return of the North Sydney Symphony Orchestra is a particular highlight, promising a dynamic performance that goes beyond classical music.
