Application to Deliver a Third Party Event on Public Land

Purpose of the Form: Complete this form if you wish to apply to deliver an event on Council-controlled land.

If your event enquiry is:

  • about holding an event at North Sydney Oval, please complete an Oval Enquiry
  • about holding a small private event in a park, please complete a Bookings Enquiry.

Important Information:

To secure your preferred event location and date, you are encouraged to submit your online application prior to the event. A minimum of 4 weeks’ notice is required for a smaller event, 3 months for a detailed event and 6 months for a Complex event.

Refer to the public events guidelines prior to commencing your application.  

To apply for an event on Council-controlled land, you need to provide:

  1. A Site Map detailing the locations of infrastructure, entertainment, and amenities.
  2. A Risk Management Plan.
  3. Public Liability Insurance Certificate - Your event date must be within the coverage dates on your public liability certificate. The name on the certificate must match the event applicant's name on this form. The liability limit must be at least $20,000,000 for all claims arising from any one occurrence, and the policy must be on a Claims Occurring basis. Consult your insurance company or broker for further details.
  4. Waste Management Plan
  5. Parking Map (if applicable)
  6. TMP (if applicable )

Applicable fees

An application fee will apply for hosting a free community event in the North Sydney LGA. If your event is not a free community event, additional fees will apply – please refer to Council’s Fees and Charges
