Margaret Street Reserve is a lovely green corridor that connects the upper and lower sections of Margaret Street, North Sydney.
The reserve has 103 steps from top to bottom. It is amazing to have this green space only 200m from the 16 busy lanes of the Warringah Freeway.
The site has been transformed from a weed infested, overgrown site to a lovely cascading garden with many interesting sections.
Council provides the group with guidance in addition to mulch, plants and specialist services such as arborists, carpenters and stonemasons when required. Gloves and tools are available at the gardening days or you a welcome to bring your own gear.
The Margaret Street group are a friendly team who meet on the 3rd Sunday of the month 8.30am to 11.00am.
In the event of rain, contact the Streets Alive Coordinator to check if the meeting will go ahead.
