Works Zone Permit application form

If further information is required, a Council officer will contact you.

You should allow for 30 business days for our Traffic and Transport team to review your application. If our officers support your application, it will be referred to the Local Traffic Committee (LTC) for review and endorsement. The LTC is an external advisory body that advises Council on proposals related to traffic and parking controls. Any proposals endorsed by the LTC must then be approved by Council. It is important to note that the Traffic Committee does not conduct investigations but rather reviews assessments submitted by others.

If the application is approved:

  • the works zone is installed 14 days after the receipt of the security deposit
  • all fees must be paid in full
  • notifications to nearby properties within 100 metres of the works zone must be issued, advising residents of the installation of the works zone, and a copy of the property distribution map must be provided to Council by emailing workszone@northsydney.nsw.gov.au

Please note, when determining the application, Council may impose additional conditions of approval.

Cancellations and variations

Council reserves the right to revoke any works zone permit at any time without refund or compensation if any of the conditions of use are breached.  

Council requires four weeks’ notice of changes to the duration of a works zone.
